Because I live on a hill. The sleet changed to freezing rain. I spent most of the day slogging around in the muck trying to get my car out of the woods. Finally a lone plow came around and cleared a single lane up the road and I was able to get my car home.

I can relate. We've had both snow and ice here; this week, my car has turned in more crazy angles than I thought was possible. I could have been a poster child for some weather channel commercials.
Great photo, though!
If you got stuck and this what had been your way ...so getting stuck has been for a reason ...Thank you for the morning ice
I love that photo--did you take that when your car was stuck? If you did it was worth it. er ... to me anyway, who didn't have to push and pull at a car for hours in the ice. :)

Karen, yes, the ice is a pain to drive in. I much prefer plain snow, but the ice is prettier. :-)
iamnasra,
your welcome! I'm glad you liked it.
Dave,
I left the car and walked home. This was in my front yard. I took it on my way back to the car with a shovel. ;-)
Chrissie,
This one is my favorite, I love the perfection in the frozen drops, I am in awe of this photo. Sorry that your car got stuck, but this picture was worth the shovel.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Brenda,
thanks. I'm really glad you like the photo. I think it was worth it, too.
